In 2023, Ibanez introduced the URGT100 acoustic/electric ukulele model as part of its URG series. The Okoume back and sides generate a woody, warm tone when the guitar is played softly or finger-picked and provide punchy high-mids with a clear projection when strummed. The top is made from Purpleheart which produces a rich mid-range with a crisp high end. The Ukulele features the AEQ-2UT preamp features a convenient onboard tuner.
